‘Christmas at Accent’
Our Christmas exhibition opens on Friday the 17th of November and will stay open right through to Christmas Eve.
The exhibition will give our customers the opportunity to choose from a wide range of beautiful Christmas gifts including paintings, sculpture, pottery and jewelry to suit all tastes.
Prices vary from inexpensive small items or works by little known artists to larger investment works by established artists.
We are providing a free wrapping service and courier delivery to help you keep your gift secret.
The exhibition will be opened by Santina Stransky at 6pm on Friday the 17th of November.
After many successful years as a broadcaster, social commentator, cookery writer and publication of 3 books, Santina took up painting some ten years ago. She is an instinctive painter whose works have been exhibited in the USA, Japan, Britain, Italy and France. Many of her paintings have been acquired by prominent private collectors and international hotels.
Santina was commissioned by the New York Chase Manhattan Bank to paint a thematic triptych. Santina’s paintings are distinguished by a genuine joie de vivre, totally devoid of artificiality, free and fresh reflecting her own character.
In 2003, Santina won a prize at the St Marco Biennale of Venice.
From the beginning of Santina’s painting career she has been closely associated with the Save the Children Fund in WA for which she has been appointed Roving Ambassador. Two of Santina’s recent exhibitions for the benefit of the Save the Children Fund were sold out within hours.
In 1993 Santina was presented the Advance Australia Award for outstanding contributions in community services.
Santina is a generous donor of her paintings to charitable organizations and in particular children hospitals that are thus able to obtain considerable funds. In order to further assist the Save the Children Fund and the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, Santina has painted a series of postcards that were very successful with the public and of which several thousand were printed.
Santina’s work was recognized with the award of the Order of Australia Medal in 1998.
The web site www.accent-gallery .com has copies of the invitation.

Charles is one of the best framers in WA
For many years the State's top artists have been having their work framed for exhibition by Charles, as they know that they will get high quality creative framing at a reasonable price.
If you have any framing requirements from your old football scarf to the Van Gogh that your grandmother left you, then have a chat to Charles. He is always prepared to spend the time of day with someone and to many of his clients he has become a friend as well as a framer.
